The king's son went straight to the East (королевский сын пошел прямо на восток), and on the way there rose up storm and fog against him (и по пути туда поднялась буря и /сгустился/ туман против него; to rise /rose, risen/ — вставать, подниматься; возрастать, увеличиваться, усиливаться); but they did not stop him (но они не остановили его). The king's son went straight to the East, and on the way there rose up storm and fog against him; but they did not stop him. He was going on always, and when he was three weeks' journey from his father's castle he stumbled one dark, misty day and fell over a ditch.
When he rose up (когда он поднялся на ноги; to rise /rose, risen/) there stood on the other side of the ditch before him (на другой стороне канавы стоял перед ним; to stand /stood/) a little horse, all bridled and saddled (небольшой конь, с уздечкой и седлом: «весь взнузданный и оседланный»; bridle — уздечка; to bridle — взнуздывать; saddle — седло; to saddle — седлать), with a whip on the saddle (/и/ с кнутом у седла: «на седле»). The horse spoke up and said (конь заговорил и сказал), "If you are the king's son (если ты королевский сын), I was sent here to meet you (то я был послан сюда, чтобы встретить тебя; to send /sent/), and carry you to the castle of the king of the East (и отнести тебя в замок короля Востока).
When he rose up there stood on the other side of the ditch before him a little horse, all bridled and saddled, with a whip on the saddle. The horse spoke up and said, "If you are the king's son, I was sent here to meet you, and carry you to the castle of the king of the East.
There is a young woman at the castle (в замке есть одна молодая женщина) who thinks it long till she sees you (которая ждет не дождется тебя увидеть: «которая думает, что долгое время до того, как она тебя увидит»; long — долго, длительно; долгое время /спустя или перед чем-л./). Now ask me no questions (а пока не задавай мне никаких вопросов; to ask — спрашивать), for I'm not at liberty to talk to you (потому что я не имею права разговаривать с тобой /до тех пор/; liberty — свобода; право, свобода /выбора/; to be at liberty to do smth. — мочь, иметь право, быть вольным делать что-л.) till I bring you to the East (пока я не привезу тебя в Восточное царство: «на Восток»; to bring — приносить; приводить с собой)."
There is a young woman at the castle who thinks it long till she sees you. Now ask me no questions, for I'm not at liberty to talk to you till I bring you to the East."
